It’s January, again. It’s a new year. Some people will mock the others who make New Year resolutions. But don’t let them scare you into thinking you shouldn’t. There’s a certain beauty in making resolutions. It means you want to be better. Do better. Feel better.
This year, I’m not going to promise myself that I’ll go to the gym (although going to the gym wouldn’t be a bad thing) or that I’ll care more about my appearance. I want this year to be about changing. About loving myself so much it hurts. And about learning to do the things that scare me. Learning to live without limiting myself because I’m scared. I want to travel as much as possible. Even if I’m just in a new place for a day. Travel is so important to my mental health and I learned that in 2016. When I travel, I feel more myself than I do when I’m at home. I want to stay positive. I don’t want to let negative people or energies come between me and my happy mind.
I hope that you, too, will make good resolutions to help you live a better life. 2016 was a hard year for everyone. But I feel like it was the year of learning. So let 2017 be the year you flourish. Don’t let anyone stop you.
